Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your account in Sinyal, the body-language app published by Fernis Labs, what is deleted and what may remain.

1. Delete your account in the app

1. Open Sinyal and sign in to the account you want to delete.
2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
3. Read the confirmation and confirm. If you signed in with Google or Apple (or your last sign-in was a while ago), the app may ask you to sign in again to confirm that it is you.

Deletion starts as soon as you confirm and cannot be undone. If you use Sign in with Apple, the app also revokes Sinyal’s access to your Apple ID.

2. Can’t open the app? Ask us by email

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, email destek@fernislabs.com from the email address of your Sinyal account. This is how we check that the request really comes from you. For example:

If you used Sign in with Apple with “Hide My Email”, include the relay address (you can find it in your Apple Account settings under Sign in with Apple) and write from the personal address it forwards to. We may ask one more question if we cannot match the request to an account. We will complete the deletion and reply within 30 days at the latest.

3. What is deleted

• Your sign-in account in Firebase Authentication: account ID, email address, display name and sign-in method.
• All data synced with your account on our servers: dictionary learning progress (learned cues, completed collections, visit streak), synced preferences, and your report backup, if you had turned it on.
• Your profile: your avatar, the times of your avatar changes, your daily visit streak and the number of analyses you have completed.
• Your analysis records: the request records kept for retries (including the structured results) and the free full report record.
• Your Signal Hunt data: your hunter name, avatar, game state (lives, streaks, XP), question history and all your season scores, including past seasons. You leave every ranking immediately.
• Reports saved on the device you use to delete the account.

We never store your photos or videos, so there are none to delete.

4. What may remain

• Purchase records. Apple, Google and our subscription provider RevenueCat keep records of purchases as required for billing, tax and legal reasons. Your subscription itself continues until you cancel it in the store.
• Reports on your other devices. If you saved reports on another phone, those local copies stay on that phone until you delete them there or uninstall the app.
• Short-lived technical records that expire on their own: daily usage counters (up to 3 days) and technical server logs (up to 7 days).
• Rate-limit counters expire on their own within about 20 minutes.
• Emails you have sent to support are kept for 1 year and then deleted.
• Data processed by Google’s Gemini API for past analyses is governed by Google’s API terms: ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms.
• Data we are required to keep by law, only for as long as the law requires.

5. Delete some data but keep your account

• A single report: delete it from your history.
• All reports: Settings → Delete all reports. If report backup is on, this also removes the reports in your account backup.
• Your report backup: turn off Back up reports to my account. The copies on our servers are deleted; reports on your phone stay.
• Stop saving reports: turn off Save reports on this device.
• Your Signal Hunt hunter name: change it on the Profile screen. If you want your game data and season scores deleted without deleting your account, email us.
